We have grazing for four or five horses in a stone walled field, which is sub-divided by electric fencing, so it is easy to provide individual grazing if you require this.We have a spacious open fronted building which you can use for feeding, grooming and tacking up, which has saddle racks beside each tie-up ring, and is very close to the secure tack room.Hay, haylage and other feed can be provided by prior arrangement.The grazing is available from £5 per horse per night, with other services by arrangement.There is a large parking area in front of the house and adjacent to the tacking up area, with plenty of room for trailers or lorries. There is an equestrian practice in Grange over Sands about 3-4 miles away. A farrier is available in emergencies.
Owners' accommodationis in a converted barn next door to an organic farm.The barn, which dates back to the 16th century, was converted from a cow byre about 10 years ago, and many of the original beams have been retained.
If you wish to stay in your own lorry, this can be arranged by prior agreement.
The house operates a no smoking policy.
The ground floor bedrooms are reached from the lounge area (upstairs) by a spiral staircase. Bed linen and towels are supplied. There is a choice of one twin or two double rooms, each of which having a view of the horses' paddocks.
Breakfast is taken in the kitchen upstairs, which leads directly out into the rear garden. On sunny mornings, it's possible to sit outside taking in the fabulous views, with a cup of coffee, to set up the day!
